High Peak Country Western Club
High Peak Country Western Club was founded in January 2003 by Buckshot & Dallas, a couple with a great
passion for all affairs Western and Country & Western, to provide a venue for all like minded folk living in the High Peak area and further afield.
The club was handed over to be run by a committee in May 2005 and has been going from strength to strength since then
All are welcome to come and enjoy a lively evening in the company of the very friendly regulars, whether it be to listen, dance or join in the other activities.
Every Saturday night a quality solo or duo live act is presented, helped out by a very able DJ, Preacher, playing cd music in the intervals. The emphasis is very strongly on "keeping it country".
We strive to put on the best live artistes to perform all genres of country music for listeners or dancers.
We dance Line, Couple or Partner.
We have a fast draw competition part way through the evening to cater for the |Westerners amongst us. Visitors are most welcome to join in so bring your rigs.
Preacher will play requests and also participate in some banter during the evening. He has been known to tell jokes!!
The evening closes with Mexican and American Trilogies with all welcome to participate.
Dress style is optional, we have casual to Confederate Army General to scruffy cowboy, with the odd preacher, undertaker and saloon girls.
